What's it like working at Educated Body?

I’ve been with Educated Body for just over a month, and I can confidently say that they provided the best onboarding process I could have hoped for. At HQ, I received thorough training on Educated Body software, which was incredibly informative and gave me the confidence to perform my tasks smoothly on my own. Visiting other Educated Body sites was also invaluable, as it gave me a clear understanding of how the company operates and how its staff put EB values into practice. While being involved in launching a new corporate Fitness Centre, I received outstanding support from other Club Managers and our Area Club Manager, and they continue to offer their assistance. Although I manage a one-person site, I’ve never felt alone in my role, knowing that help is always available when needed.

I obtained my Pilates certification last year after being with the company for a year and the Club Manager where I was working at the time was very supportive even though she was new to the company. She worked hard so that I could have my own weekly Pilates class and was very accommodating when discussing the possible times. The process took a few months, but she was very transparent all along and clearly explained how things were working. I felt she really pushed me achieving my goals and be a better instructor by giving me the chance to teach and run Masterclasses.

My tenure at Educated Body has equipped me with advanced skills in team management, operational oversight, and customer relations, all within the unique setting of residential health clubs. This role has refined my ability to manage complex situations, prioritize tasks, and foster a positive and productive environment for both staff and residents.

I recently joined Educated Body in the middle of April of this year to run the two residential gyms for Battersea Power Station. The sites I oversee are The Spring and Battersea Roof Gardens in which I have a team of eight members of staff who assist me with the day-to-day operational running of the sites.
At the beginning I had an in-depth two-week induction into Educated Body to get an understanding of how the company started and what the business visions and values are which is very important for any new starter. During this training period I was allowed to train on all the platforms the site uses to operate and have the experience to work at other sites alongside the Club Managers for Educated Body to see how they operate and to bring ideas over to Battersea.

So far its been a fantastic experience and I feel very fortunate to work for such a professional, expanding business with plenty of opportunities to develop personally and also progress further in higher roles.

After being referred by my current club manager, my time at Educated Body has allowed me to gain invaluable experience that significantly contributed to my professional growth. The training I received was comprehensive, equipping me with essential skills in my field. I have received ongoing support from my managers and colleagues which has fostered a collaborative environment. Educated Body has provided numerous career development opportunities including workshops and seminars. Overall my experience has been enriching and enhancing in all aspects.

I began my journey with Educated Body at One Park Drive Spa in Canary Wharf in December 2023, joining as a Duty Manager and Personal Trainer (PT). At the conclusion of my 3-month probationary period, I was promoted to Master PT, thanks to my advanced qualifications and over 10 years of experience in the field.
Since then, Educated Body has been instrumental in enhancing my managerial skills, offering valuable training and courses that have supported my professional growth. In September, I was promoted to Assistant Club Manager, a career milestone I have been aiming for since I first joined the company. Educated Body has been a key player in helping me achieve this goal.

The company provides ample opportunities for growth, and for those willing to seize them, the potential for career advancement is significant. As a fast-growing organization, there’s much more to accomplish, and I am excited for the journey ahead.

I joined Educated Body in June with the goal of advancing my career and expanding my skill set. Thanks to the support and guidance from my colleagues and managers, I feel confident that this is a place where I can continue to grow and develop professionally.

I joined the company a year ago as Club Manager in one of the London’s flagship Health Club.
